Frequently asked questions

Answers for humans and AI assistants. Use this page to understand UnifiedData and how to use it autonomously.

General questions

What is UnifiedData?

UnifiedData helps non-technical teams access and move data across their company's SaaS tools. Connect your apps to move data between platforms or save it to databases in real time or on a schedule. You can also use MCP so ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini can access approved data.

Who is UnifiedData for?

Non-technical teams managing company SaaS tools who need to access data, move it between platforms, or enable AI clients (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to retrieve approved data.

Do I need to write code?

No. UnifiedData provides a no-code interface for building data flows. You connect your apps (or your customer's apps), map fields, and configure sync frequency visually. Advanced users can use transformations for data mapping and filtering.

Product & features

What is an authorized connection?

A connection is an authorized link to a specific SaaS app that you authenticate so UnifiedData can read or write data for your flows. Authorization uses OAuth or an API key or token—UnifiedData handles it either way. The same connection can power multiple flows; MCP access for AI clients is available where your workspace enables it.

What is a "flow"?

A flow is a data pipeline that moves data from a source (e.g., Salesforce) to a destination—another app (e.g., HubSpot) or your own database. Each flow defines the connection, field mapping, transformations, and sync schedule.

What is a "record"?

A record is a single data object (e.g., a contact, deal, ticket) synced between applications. Reading and writing each count as one record operation toward your plan limits.

What sync frequencies are available?

Dependant on the source integration, the frequency can be "real-time" and/or as little as 1 minute to several days. This is configurable per flow.

Is my data secure?

Yes. UnifiedData is SOC 2 Type II certified and NEVER stores your data.

Pricing & billing

Can I switch plans at any time?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect immediately and billing is prorated.

Do you offer a free trial for Pro?

Yes. The free plan is limited, but you will get a great understanding of the platform and how it works.

What happens if I exceed my record limit?

No more access will be allowed once you exceed your limit.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. All plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. Enterprise plans can optionally include annual contracts with a discount.

Integrations

What integrations do you support?

440+ pre-built connectors including Salesforce, HubSpot, Quickbooks, Mailchimp, Slack, Stripe, Jira, GitHub, Notion, Shopify, Zendesk, Mailchimp, Twilio, Intercom, Mixpanel, Pipedrive, Asana, Linear, and many more. See the app for the full list.

How do I connect an app?

In the app, go to Connections, select the app, and follow the OAuth or API key flow. Most apps use OAuth—you will be redirected to sign in and authorize UnifiedData. API key apps require you to create a key in the app's settings and paste it into UnifiedData.
